PRIMARY RESPONSBILITY:  

 Perform as Lead Person to coordinate all Shipping and Receiving activities with the goal of 100% on time delivery with 100% accuracy in shipment quantities.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1.  Oversee all Shipping functions including paperwork and truck scheduling.
  • Assign daily tasks to loaders and Receiving personnel
  • Oversee Receiving of fiber and non-fiber products.
  • Coordinate the activities of personnel to load, unload, transport and store Finished Goods and Raw materials.
  • Take daily, weekly and monthly stock and cycle counts; assist in correcting perpetual inventories.
  • Process Shipments as needed.
  • Serve as back-up to Receiving Clerk
  • Insure material is in proper inventory location
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Adhere and comply with ISO quality procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Three years of experience working in manufacturing.  Nonwovens experience is a plus but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSPerform basic math skills.   Ability to add/subtract/multiply/divide. 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to touch, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Ability to work 12 hour shifts every other weekend with when business demands warrant a 24-7 continuous operation.

Tasks are usually performed indoors in a manufacturing environment.  Occasional mandatory overtime which may include Saturdays/Sundays.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must not wear any loose fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery.  The employee is occasionally exposed to seasonal related heat and cold.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
